The risk is the gap in evidence, not the scrap

A retired drive in Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger or Trondheim remains personal data until erasure is evidenced. GDPR and the Personal Data Act (personopplysningsloven) require traceable destruction. Datatilsynet asks for the path, not the logo.

Norway is in the EEA, not the EU. Moving data-bearing or regulated waste toward Romania is a transboundary job, not an internal EU move. We plan it with the customer. No blanket free international freight as if Bergen were Basel.

We are not a Norwegian EE-avfall scheme with an invented membership number. Professional kit goes through certified, EE-avfall-compatible channels. The route sits in the file.

Scope the lot
Types, volume, site (Oslo, Stavanger, Bergen, Trondheim), window, access. Three fields plan the first visit.

We clear on site
De-install, pack, remove. Neighbouring racks stay live. Discretion for energy, finance and the public sector.

Data, then residual value
NIST SP 800-88. Then valuation. Nothing is resold without written authorisation.

What we will not invent

No Oslo, Bergen or Stavanger depot. Inbound: Strada Putnei 213, 725400 Rădăuți, Romania — declared.
No EE-avfall membership number, no invented ISO 27001 certificate. ISO/IEC 27001:2022 is in process (expected around 5 September 2026).
Free collection for organisations only when assessment shows residual value and density carry the haul. Not an open dump for every postcode. Not “free like Germany”.
