Residual value vs disposal — when remarketing makes sense

Austria often still buys hardware. Forced-recycling saleable enterprise kit is a loss, not compliance.

Credit note after inventory, not a spot price

The Austrian market talks openly about buyback and residual value. RecyclicTech does not promise a figure before the lot. After inventory and erasure we value what still has a market. A credit note follows if the lot supports it — otherwise EAG-VO-aligned recycling.

A NIST SP 800-88 wipe keeps residual value. A shred ends it. The briefing decides. Collection for organisations stays free, credit note or not.

Remarketing is not a data risk when release is written

Nothing enters the secondary market without written release. Unwiped media does not enter the remarketing stream. That is a condition, not an option.

If you want residual value and refuse a wipe, you get recycling — not a quiet resale. It is written into the job.
