The risk is the gap in evidence, not the scrap

The Commission nationale pour la protection des données (CNPD) — Law of 1 August 2018 — expects traceable destruction, not a scrap invoice. For a CSSF-supervised institution, professional secrecy under the Law of 5 April 1993 on the financial sector does not stop at the loading dock.

The Grand Duchy transposes the WEEE Directive. Ecotrel ASBL is the approved body for extended producer responsibility on household EEE. RecyclicTech is not an Ecotrel member and does not hold a SuperDrecksKëscht mark. We route professional equipment through certified WEEE-compatible channels and write the path into the file.

Fund-admin and Luxembourg Tier-class hall hardware often still has market value: the room changes, the kit is not dead. We assess a rebate. Collection for organisations is free. Household donations are a separate product.

How the work runs

Scope the lot
Equipment types, approximate volume, site (Kirchberg, Gare, Cloche d’Or, Esch), window, badges. Three fields plan the first visit. No RFP theatre.

We clear on site
De-install, pack, remove. Neighbouring racks stay live. Discretion for fund floors, EU institutions and colo halls.

Data, then residual value
NIST SP 800-88 erasure or physical destruction, then valuation. Nothing is resold without written authorisation. The briefing decides wipe or shred — not the brochure.

File returned
Certificate per drive or serial, chain of custody, itemised asset report, ESG summary. Built for internal audit and the DPO, not a leaflet.

What we will not invent

No CSSF agrément. ISO/IEC 27001:2022 company certification is in process (expected within about 14 days of 22 August 2026). No badge and no number until both can be verified. No unpublished Luxembourg RCS number as a branch.
