Decommissioning a data centre in the Amsterdam corridor
AMS-IX, Schiphol, Almere. Discretion, dock windows, evidence. The hall is the midpoint, not the end.

The hall changes more often than the kit fails
In the Amsterdam metro, hardware leaves service because the cage, the interconnect or the power deal changed. The servers are often still current. Immediate scrap throws residual value away and leaves an AVG hole.
We inventory before the first rack, run media as a separate stream and write the chain as we go. Neighbouring cages stay live. The file runs in parallel, not three months later.
