Disposing of IT inventory in Austria — what EAG-VO and GDPR require
A recycling ticket is not an erasure certificate. EAG-VO and AbfallBPV set the channel, GDPR and the DSG the per-drive evidence duty.

Two legal circles, one job
EAG-VO binds producers and importers on take-back and treatment. Professional WEEE can be arranged differently with the user. An enterprise ITAD job in Vienna or Graz is not a household drop at EAK.
The Abfallbehandlungspflichtenverordnung (AbfallBPV) supplements the Waste Management Act 2002: it says how WEEE must be treated, not only that it is collected.
GDPR and the DSG require that you can show what happened to the drive. RecyclicTech does not write “EAK certified”. We route professional lots through compatible certified channels and put the erasure certificate and the chain in the same file.
A collection rate is not your erasure proof
Since 2019 Austria’s minimum collection rate is 65 % of POM or 85 % of WEEE arising. That is a national producer duty, not a certificate for your hall.
Green Tech Valley in Styria and Carinthia clusters circular economy. It replaces neither NIST SP 800-88 nor a per-serial erasure certificate.
