IT recycling is the last route, not the product

Unusable equipment is WEEE-routed after sanitisation. Recycle is one destination. RecyclicTech will not present it as a substitute for reuse.

Process

  1. 01 · Sanitise first

Media is not mixed scrap on day one.

  2. 02 · Decide

Reuse, harvest, or WEEE. Recycle is the remainder.

  3. 03 · Route

WEEE-compatible channels. Duty of care stays with you until the chain closes.

  4. 04 · File

WEEE papers and destruction certificates are different lines.

Evidence

  • UK WEEE duty-of-care file exists because that is the legal question.
  • Responsible-recycling service page states recycle is last resort.
  • About/waste is an empty file until the operator name can be checked.

Questions

Straight answers.

What is WEEE recycling?+

The waste trail for electrical equipment. RecyclicTech returns WEEE papers. It is not ITAD by itself.

Is recycling better than reuse?+

No. Reuse keeps the machine in service. Recycling recovers materials after life is gone. RecyclicTech will not invert that.

What percentage of IT equipment can be reused?+

It depends on the lot. RecyclicTech will not print a marketing percentage we cannot stand behind.

What happens to cables, racks and networking?+

Inventoried. Remarketed when they have a market. WEEE-routed when they do not.
