Questions
Straight answers.
Is this the same as the free corporate collection?+
No. Organisations retiring IT estates use the free assessment — collection is on us. This campaign is for private individuals. You pay the courier so the residual value of the kit can go to education rather than covering logistics.
Do you pay me for the equipment?+
No. This is a donation, not a purchase. You cover shipping. RecyclicTech does not invoice a donation fee.
What about data on the drives?+
Assume every device is data-bearing. We sanitise media before reuse or destroy it. If a drive must be physically shredded, say so in the notes.
Which payment provider do you use?+
Stripe Checkout is the live processor for this worldwide campaign (cards, Apple Pay, and local methods in the same session). RecyclicTech pages never collect card numbers.
Can I donate from anywhere in the world?+
Yes. The portal prices a collection from your address to our inbound processing depot at Strada Putnei 213, 725400 Rădăuți, Suceava, Romania. That address is for parcels only — it is not a public drop-off office. You pay the courier; live Shippo rates are shown when the carrier can quote, otherwise a published rate card.
Can I see what happened to my donation?+
Yes. Payment opens a SHA-256 audit trail against your EDU- reference — ISO/IEC 27001:2022 aligned logging. Company ISO 27001 certification is in process (expected within about 14 days of 22 August 2026); this trail is not that certificate number. Later stages (received, wiped, routed to education) stay blank until they actually happen. Open it from the confirmation page.
