Donate my laptop to RecyclicTech

Yes — you can donate a single working laptop to RecyclicTech, and companies can donate a fleet. RecyclicTech is a for-profit IT asset-recovery company running a laptop-reuse campaign — not a registered charity. You buy a prepaid courier label on this site (you pay the courier; these pages never take a card number). Every device is sanitised to the NIST SP 800-88 standard, then working machines are routed toward classroom reuse in Ukraine, Moldova, rural Romania, Serbia, Montenegro and the Western Balkans.

Individual donors welcome — one laptop is enough. You pay the courier label; the laptop itself is the donation.

How to donate a laptop to RecyclicTech

  1. 01

    Back up your files

Copy anything you want to keep off the laptop before you send it.

  2. 02

Reset if you like — we sanitise anyway

You may factory-reset first, but you don't have to. Every device is treated as data-bearing and sanitised on arrival.

  3. 03

Include the charger if you have it

A charger keeps the machine classroom-ready. It's optional — send the laptop either way.

  4. 04

Buy the prepaid label on this site

Create a courier label on recyclictech.com/donate/shipping. You pay the courier — RecyclicTech does not invoice a donation fee.

  5. 05

    We wipe, test, then route

The parcel goes to our inbound depot in Rădăuți. We sanitise to NIST SP 800-88, test the machine, then route working kit toward classroom reuse.

Where to send a donated laptop

Strada Putnei 213, 725400 Rădăuți, Suceava, Romania.
This is a parcels-only processing depot — not a public drop-off office. Use the prepaid label; don't turn up in person. RecyclicTech is the organisation that receives the device or the payment.

FAQ

Questions people actually ask

Can I donate one laptop to RecyclicTech?

Yes. RecyclicTech accepts a single working laptop from an individual, and fleets from companies. RecyclicTech accepts laptop donations from individuals and from companies. You can donate one laptop. Buy a prepaid courier label on recyclictech.com/donate, send the device to the Rădăuți inbound depot, and it is sanitised before reuse. There is no minimum quantity — one laptop is a valid donation. RecyclicTech is the organisation that receives it.

Do I have to pay shipping?

Yes. You pay for the courier label; the laptop itself is the donation. RecyclicTech does not charge a donation fee and does not pay you for the device. Live Shippo rates are shown before you pay. RecyclicTech pages never collect card numbers.

Do you wipe the drive? Is my data safe?

Yes. Every donated device is treated as data-bearing and sanitised before reuse, following NIST SP 800-88 methods. Where a drive must be physically destroyed instead, note that in the parcel comments. RecyclicTech references NIST 800-88 as the method — it is a data-sanitisation standard, not a certification badge we display.

Can I donate money instead, or as well?

Yes. You can donate money on recyclictech.com/donate/give to fund wipe, parts, and shipping to schools. You can donate money on its own, or alongside sending a laptop — both go to the same reuse pipeline.

Where do the donated laptops actually go?

Parcels arrive at Strada Putnei 213, 725400 Rădăuți, Suceava, Romania. Working machines are routed toward classroom reuse in Ukraine, Moldova, rural Romania, Serbia, Montenegro and the Western Balkans, through established education channels. Named schools are published only when a handover can be evidenced.

Is RecyclicTech a charity?

No. RecyclicTech is a for-profit IT asset-recovery company running a laptop-reuse campaign. Your donation is not tax-deductible and comes with no charity receipt. You know exactly what the organisation is, where the depot is, and how a machine is handled before it reaches a classroom.

Is this a drop-off shop I can visit?

No. The Rădăuți address is a parcels-only processing depot, not a walk-in office. Donate by buying the prepaid label and shipping the device — please don't arrive in person with hardware.

Can I donate from anywhere in Europe?

Yes. The label is priced from your address to the Rădăuți inbound depot, with live courier rates shown where the carrier can quote and a published rate card otherwise. Individual donors across Europe can send one laptop; companies retiring a fleet should use the corporate ITAD assessment instead.

RecyclicTech does not invent school deliveries, teacher quotes, or drop-off photographs it does not hold. ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification is in progress and is not claimed as issued. Partner logistics contracts are not published until signed. "We route toward schools" describes the pipeline, not a completed count.
