Rural Moldova — Orhei and the north

Europe’s steepest peacetime population collapse sits next door to Romania. Moldova educates; Germany, Italy and the rest of the west harvest.

Peacetime demographic emergency. Rural classrooms. Partner-routed; no invented school name.

Country/rural pin. RecyclicTech has not published a Moldovan school handover. The still is a village-school lab, not Orheiul Vechi.

Focus Economics’ 2026 consensus puts Moldova’s GDP per capita at about USD 7,816 — among the lowest in Europe after Ukraine and Kosovo. Eurostat’s Neighbourhood East series records the population falling from 2.87 million in 2015 to 2.42 million in 2024. IOM’s World Migration Report 2026 names Moldova, with Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ukraine, as the three European countries with the steepest declines from 2005 to 2024.

That is not a war statistic. It is a brain-drain statistic. One in four Moldovans lives abroad. RecyclicTech has not published a signed Moldovan partner contract or a RecyclicTech drop-off photograph. After Rădăuți processing, Moldova-bound machines will be allocated only through verified education organisations already operating in the country. Until a named school placement can be evidenced, Orhei District — not an invented gymnasium — is the pin.
