How RecyclicTech wipes a donated laptop

Every donated laptop is treated as data-bearing. RecyclicTech sanitises to NIST SP 800-88 before reuse. A factory reset is not the certificate.

Is my data safe?

Yes — after we sanitise. Back up files you want to keep. You may factory-reset first. RecyclicTech still treats the device as data-bearing on arrival and applies NIST SP 800-88 methods before any reuse. Physical destruction is used when reuse is not the route. We cite NIST SP 800-88 as the standard we follow, not as an ISO badge we do not hold.

Donate my laptop knowing the wipe is part of the gift, not an extra invoice. Standard reference: NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 1 (csrc.nist.gov).
